Acupuncture

The most well known and popular method of Chinese medicine is acupuncture, aimed to regulate the Meridians and Channels of the body to release energy flow (Qi), the vital energy, and improve blood flow to re-establish the balance of Yin and Yang.

It is used widely in the treatment of various diseases in the major disciplines of internal medicine: orthopaedics, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics and dermatology.

Modern research shows that acupuncture releases endomorphine in the body, which are natural painkillers that ease the pain. It is practiced using very fine disposable needles. Contrary to popular belief, where practiced by a professional acupunturist, the method is perfectly safe and extremely effective for numerous problems.

To treat disease, a TCM practitioner will insert fine needles into specific points on the body located at superficial areas along the meridian. These points are known as acupuncture points.
